Judith,

I just wanted to say something about your note on the FML about adopting
elderly or ill ferrets. It was just absolutely beautiful and so wonderful
to read. Thank you so much for posting that note. Not only do those
ferrets know your love in their last days, they are certainly saving a
special place for YOU in Heaven near the Rainbow Bridge!! I wish more
ferret lovers would spare a moment for these old guys. I have had two
myself. Of my three current weasesls, only Chip is "old." He was a rescue--
he's about five or six. He's had adrenal surgery, terrible ear and eye
infections that left him slightly tipsy, yet is the most happy and lovey,
kissy boy. I would take him over a kit any time, no matter how many days he
has left. BTW, after the adrenal surgery he grew back his gorgeous white
coat. With his black eyes he looks just like a polar bear!

Kat
