For the last 13 years, I have been blocking the door to the ferret room
with a piece of plexiglass bowed into the door frame. This worked great
in the other places we've lived, as they had all hardwood floors, and
it fit flat against the floor. The apartment we're living in now, tho,
has hardwood in the bedrooms, and a carpeted hallway. So when I put the
plexiglass in the door, it lifts up slightly where it's carpeted, and
leaves a gap that our newest ferret has discovered she can get her paws
under and after digging a bit, pops the plexiglass out. So for now I'm
keeping the door to the room shut when they're out (which I don't like
doing). What could I put in the doorway so I can keep the door open
when they're out? I was thinking a baby gate, with plexiglass attached
to one side so they can't climb it. Any help would be appreciated!
