Hmmm... sounds a bit like "ringworm", a fungal infection that makes
characteristic circles like the one you describe (blue?  hmmm....).  If I'm
remembering correctly (and please correct me if I'm not - I don't want to
give out erroneous info!) in humans it is treated with ointment.  I don't
know about ferrets, but I know that dogs and cats get this sort of thing,
too.  Bottom line - call your vet!
