Hi y'all! I've just today caught up on the weekend's FML's so please bear
with me.

Saturday night, 6 out of our 9 ferrets got out, including 2 boarders that we
were babysitting. The back door got left open and they just slipped out...

Now if I was a new ferret owner, and needed information on how to go about
looking for my ferrets, I would love to be able to log in and download the
lost ferret FAQ. This wouldn't work, however, if this information is turned
into a fund raising project. The beauty of the FAQ's maintained by Pam
Greene is that at any time, day or night, I can log in and download them in
minutes.

If people were to find a need for the lost ferret FAQ, they would have to
contact Kelleen, work out payment arrangements, and wait for the information
to be snail- mailed to them. I hate to kill Kelleen's idea, but I think
this information would be better used if it were made as available as the
other FAQs.

Perhaps we could all post suggestions that our shelters, or local shelters,
have found to be useful in raising funds? For instance, the local shelter
recently had a garage sale that brought in hundreds of dollars. It was a
lot of work, but it was well worth it! Just my $.02 for what it's worth.

BTW, we did eventually find all 6 ferrets. But Kodi spent the night
outdoors and now has a red ring around his right eye...There is no swelling,
but it looks like he slept on a bed of pistachios - that's the color of the
red...Could he have gotten poison ivy on the ring of skin around the eye
where there's no fur?

Happy ferreting,

Susie and Ken (humans)
Casper, Trixie, Binky, IVAN!, PJ and Kodi (our ferrets)
Thumper and Dragon (boarders) and Kira (foster kid)
