In issue 682, [log in to unmask] says:

The largest piece of internet email that AOL accepts is 250,000 charcters.
Seeing how the biggest issue ever of the FML was 38750 characters or so,
there is certainly room to spare.

There is, however, a limit to the size of email messages that you can display
all at once on your AOL mail window. Something like 16K on the IBM or 25K
on the Mac. BUT, the AOL gateway is supposed to take messages that exceed
that size and break them up into multiple pieces. And I confirmed that this
does indeed work, so not sure why your messages are being truncated.

One sugestion: if a piece of mail appears to be truncated, try saving it to
disk, and then opening it up with another word processor to see if it is
really all there. In either event, it sounds like a report to AOL is in
order, since something with your setup appears to be broken. (Maybe old
AOL software?)

Of course, since all the back issues are archived, if you need something you
missed, that could certainly be arranged.

Can you tell the FML what the problem is... maybe we can help too?

Good luck and Happy 1994 to you and all the FMLer's.
