My 14 yr old daughter just rescued an adult ferret from the shelter (where
she does volunteer work).  He seems quite tame.  I have some questions: 1)we
have 2 cats, a dog and an african grey parrot.  Are there any problems with
this combination?  When we've allowed the ferret to "mix" with the family
it's been on a leash.  2) He sleeps alot - is this normal?  3) He smells
bad - despite the fact he's been altered and descented and bathed.  Any
hints on how to handle odor control?
