BEACH (somewahat old issue)
 
I never had a problem at the beach.  I would shelter the Ferret as necessary
on the way to and from the beach.  Then upon arrival, even on the hottest
day, dig a three way tunnel in the sand (9" ish down) for the beasty. This
would both give him an automatic playground and "ice box".  This routine
works.  I did it for seven summers.
 
FERRET SITTING
 
If there are any of you who might need a Ferret sitter in the NYC area,
please contact me.  I would (I think) love to accomodate.
