Sorry to take so long to respond, but I've been busy lately and have once
again fallen behind on my Ferret List reading (Too busy for the Ferret List?
BLASPHEMY! :). Anyway, my condo also has forced air heat with floor registers,
and they *aren't* set near corners, and my Buddy has *still* sometimes 'gone'
right on top of (and down into) them. And you're right, it's a terribly yucky
thing :). As he became better litter trained he used the register less often,
but didn't quit completely, so I got one of those plastic curvey air flow
redirecter dealies (that's the technical term :) and screwed it to the floor
on top of the register with a couple of small angle brackets. I guess if he
can't go right on the register, he's not interested, because he almost never
'goes' in that area anymore.
