Hello,

My little Sadie (4/female) was taken to the vet last week because I
noticed some stuff that I wanted checked out -- specifically, her
thinning hair and swollen anus. The vet has put her on Benedryl (1 to
2 drops twice a day for two weeks) in hopes that this is all from an
allergy of sorts. But the possibility exists that this is the beginning
stage of adrenal disease. The vet said that typically in a female ferret
the vulva will become swollen, so she doesn't understand why her anus is
swollen and red. There is nothing internally that we can see and her
adrenal glands are not swollen (at least, not yet).

My other fertsie, Smokey (5/female), is totally healthy.

Thoughts?

Thank you in advance!
