Hi there,
Just a note re; the ferret sighting in NY Times.Have you ever held a mink?I
think I know why they had a ferret instead!

BTW,someone let around 2,500 mink out of a local farm here in Calderdale,UK,
last week....there's about 100-150 still missing and an awful lot less
ducks, chickens, cats and fish (presumably also small wild mammals) around
than there used to be.Why don't people think about the consequences of their
actions???Apart from anything else,it's not fair on the mink to suddenly
dump them in the wild and expect them to feed themselves, you know how much
you panic if your ferrets go missing coz they won't be able to fend for
themselves.....
