According to my vet, the best option is to buy the larger size tube (for
cats over 10 tons) and get a syringe and a vial from the vet.  Get a
syringe that measures doses in tenths of a cc.  Open the tube of Advantage
and squeeze into the vial (you can usually put in more than one tube of
Advantage, if you know in advance how much you need).  Then draw out
(using the syringe) .20 cc and apply to each ferret.  The small cat/kitten
tube holds .4 cc each, so you can treat two ferrets with it.  The large
tube holds .8 cc, so you can treat four ferrets with it.  I've been told
that if you have a large number of ferrets, it would be best to get the
large dog size (you only need to buy one or two tubes to treat the whole
busyness), then parcel out the doses as needed.
 
Tip: try not to purchase more than you need to open (or at least buy as
close to what you will need in one dosing), as opening the tube can start
a degradation process.
