Hello everyone!
This is my first bit for the FML. I am in the proccess of developing a
Lost Ferrets website, the index page of which can be viewed at
www.geocities.com/lost ferrets.
The page will, once finished, include free "lost and found ads" for
ferrets, guaranteed posted within 8 hours, regional missing and found
ferret lists, info on what to do when you lose or find a ferret and ferret
proofing, and regional shelter listings. In order to be effective, lots
of people need to know about it. People need to check on a regular basis
to see if any ferrets have gone missing in their area, and they need to
remember what rescources are available to them on the site if their own
fuzzie goes missing. So, in part, this message is an advertisement. The
site is a completely free rescource, but it really does need the attention.
But, the part I really need help with is the shelters. I want to include
as many shelters as want to participate, from the US, and around the world.
These shelters would be contacted when missing ferrets were reported in
their area, to keep their eyes out and also to help with recovery
processes. Having lost one of my fuzzies, (I found her again) I know how
it feels, and I know how much I would have liked to have people in my
community who knew of my plight and were willing to help out. If anyone is
interested in helping with this, providing info on shelters, links on their
sites, or any info they think might help, please e-mail me at the above
address. Any help or feedback of any kind, is much appreciated.

Melissa
