It seems fairly clear that the general opinion is that ferrets need bones
to be healthy.  So, for those of us that choose not to feed live or whole
animals to our pets, what can be used to replace the bones in the diet.
Humans, of course, use Calcium supplements, but these can cause kidney
stones and other problems.  Especially if taken in excess.  Do any Vets
have evidence on feeding calcium supplements to ferrets?  I'm not gonna
try it until I check with my local vet, and do some more research.  But
it occured to me that it might be a doable substitute for those of us who
don't want to give our little guys bones.  Or, how about the bones from
our chicken or beef dinners?
