Prednisolone may come as OraPred which tastes better than prednisolone
"straight" ( By the way, I'm not a vet but a Paediatric Nurse who works
with Pulmonary patients. We use Prednisone for asthma, etc.) Now are
you thinking 1ml=1mg. It may be mixed that way but not necessarily.
Also how much does Loki weigh? 2mg/kg/day means for every 2.2lbs of
weight he should get 2mgs. in 24 hrs. or 1mg if divided in 2 doses. I
hope this isn't confusing. The bottle should be labelled and tell so
the strength. It should also say WHAT it diluted with. It may not be
diluted. As I said, some preparations aren't nasty tasting. So find out
how many milligrams per ml. It could, for example, be 1mg/ml or 5mg/ml
depending on how it was mixed. Since, it's divided in 2 doses, Loki
should be getting 1.1mg/lb for each dose. If Loki is 2lbs, he would
get 2.2mg. If prednisolone is 5mg/ml, then he would take 4.4mls. You
calculate by: Number of mg/ml and divide it by Loki's weight.

Have I made this more confusing? I hope not. I hoe this helps.
