        Ross - When fresh, feces are a lighter borwn and soft, although they
are usually well-formed.  They only turn dark after exposure to air (and the
hemoglobin pigments in the feces get oxidized.
 
        Also rmember, that stress (from a new home) an cause loose stools,
although by 3 weeks they should have firmed up.  I don't think anything is
wrong just yet, but it's good to keep watching it.  I wish all owners took an
interst in feces....
