Hi,

I am doing a paper for my Environmental Science class. My subject is
to discuss why California feels it is necessary to ban the ferret as a
companion animal for ecological purposes and why the ferret community
feels that California's claims are unfounded.

Here's my problem and why I hope you all can help. I need to get definite
SCIENTIFIC STUDIES that backs up the ferret communities arguments. If not
definite studies, I need to get interviews with or papers written by
experts with credentials in animal behavior, animal science, ecological
science, etc. that support the ferret community.

This is looking bleak for me because I can find all kinds of stuff that
California has published with tons of references on why they think what
they think but nothing concrete for the ferret community. I realize that
California's references are of course going to be interpreted differently
per reader but I need something to back up the ferret side.

Please e-mail me with any and all information available. Of course
references to books, films, particular newspaper articles (include the
paper name and date if possible), etc the best forms of material to use.
Unfortunately, my sincere love for these guys don't hold water to a state's
"research and investigation" into the subject when it comes to what my
professor wants.

Again, any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Contact me directly
