Today I had a new ferret experience, which my wife says she had once before
with our old ferret Morgan.  I had taken our two current fuzzies into the
shower with me (because one of them was starting to smell a little strongly;
I suspect Circe', because Gwydeon is descented but she is not).  I had just
finished wetting her fur down and rubbing in ferret shampoo, and I set her
down for a moment since she was obviously not enjoying the experience.
("Hate" would be a much more accurate term.) This was Circe's first
shower...  she screamed.  Three loud screetches, like a bird.  REETCH!
REETCH!  REETCH!!
 
She's fine now (they both went carpet swimming after I rinsed them).  Has
anyone else heard their ferret(s) scream?
 
On an unrelated note, we have friends over periodically to help us brew,
bottle, and drink real beer, and to honor such occasions have renamed
our apartment the Four Ferret Tavern.  We're getting a wooden pub sign
painted...
