Hello to the person who's ferret was shedding and had a coarse coat. It
is normal for a ferret to shed (I believe twice a year) Be sure to give
them some ferret or cat hairball/laxative. Hairballs can be life
threatening to ferrets. I change their bedding more and brush them during
shedding times, as well as giving them hairball lax. I would recommend
a vitamin like ferretone to help make their coat healthy. I use it daily
and my fuzzies have soft, full coats.

Baths aren't that necessary for ferrets. Once or twice a year is plenty.
Just clean their ears every couple of weeks to keep their scent down.
