I'm guilty of being trained by my ferrets, too.....After all, what is a
little grey (and white from the albino) fur on your clothes?...Not to
mention a few little food crumbs from whatever food they managed to
swindle into the pile of clean clothes!  They have thier own room, and
even thier own couch ( yes THEIR couch, nobody gets to sit on it but
them!) in the living room....But wait!  There's more!  We couldn't seem
to keep them from digging in the house plants, so we moved the plants and
gave them thier own box of dirt, which they scatter around all throughout
the kitchen and livingroom, and then I clean it up as if this were a
"normal" everyday thing, but hey, around here, it is!
 
we no longer try to keep our bedroom door closed, because they will simply
open it and let themselves in or out.
 
At bathtime, I am ok with knowing that I will get just as much if not more
of a bath then they will.
 
Like Alexandra, we once owned a four hundred dollar a pound fuzzie.
 
I have also first tasted ferret lax, bitter-apple,fooey, and 8 in 1, too
see if it was "ok" to give to the fuzzies????
 
I have accepted the fact that my favorite pair of shoes are no longer
mine.(sigh)
 
And I fully understand that no matter what the time,night or day, if it is
snowing, we are going outside to romp in it for a bit!
 
Oh, and one more thing..the water bowl will be dumped if it is not changed
twice a day!
