1.Just a quick question: No one responded to my question as to where to get
fert supplies in Illinois from shelter aside from G.C.F.A. Is there a list
of shelters and supplies they carry written up anywhere? STAR has list of
vets, Do they have list of shelters and supplies??

I am running very low and will have to place order at pet store that
doesn't sell animals if I don't get hold of a shelter fairly soon.Seems a
shame to order off the FML.

2.Went to another PETCO. They are selling rabbits like hot-cakes. Lady I
have been seeing there for last 10 months said they sell rabbits same day
they come in, or within a few days, but had a period of time where they had
difficulty finding any to buy. I was so happy for Sandi Ackerman- and for
the rabbits. I 'm truly sorry Sandi. This is in Ill., by Chicago.
"Selling like hot-cakes" -disposable pets-come and get them.

3. I didn't mean to imply ferts were only ones injured at PETCO. Lady I
usually see there took home 7 now. One fert was unable to eat and cried
all the time. It was too young. They let her have it. They let their
employees take home the injured ferts too. Her other 6 were injured by
kids dropping them. Just telling you guys what she tells me. I don't
work there.

Main animals hurt are hamsters and rabbits. She knows of about 20 ferts hurt
or ill or too young in 10 months just at her store, but many more hamsters
are injured. The pigs are also injured. It is not just ferts. Sorry if I
made it sound like that. That was not my intention.

Any child there can stand over hard floor and handle any of the small
animals. There is no special place, and no rules at stores I visit
according to people who work there.

You know how it can be.Mom thinks fert looks like rat and is just appeasing
child who begs to hold it. Fert grabs child's finger, child pulls back
screaming, little teeth tighten grip, tiny baby fert is thrown and Smacks
into wall. Same with hamsters or bunnies. No place to hold animals or
supervision---what do you expect?

Anyway, prayers for all the babes-those sick , in the hands of GOD, or
healthy and eating our underwear
