I have always found that A/D, a canned food available from your vet,
is great for sick ferrets or ferrets needing fattening up.

Just add warm water and mix to a consistency they like or it can be
fed from a syringe. Most ferrets love it. I have always added some
to my soup mix, but it can be fed alone or just as a supplement.
