To all ferret owners in the NYC Area
 
The Animal Medical Center will continue
 
to see and treat ferrets (and other animals deemed to be illegal): In spite
of the Mayor and his health dept.  In fact that law has been on the books
for a very long time.  Its only lately has it been brought to the public
eye.
 
According to the Health dept officals we have spoke with the only time that
it should become an issue will be if your ferret is a known "felon" ie has
been reported to the agency previously for bite incidents.
 
We are here to help sick animals not enforce NYC laws....
