Princess also stashes food.  I have a 10 metre pipe in my room (agriculture
drain pipe - well ventilated).  Whenever I pick it up and shake, out comes
about 6 toy mice and a pile of crumbs and kibble.  When I give her a solid
treat, I never see her eat it.
 
I dont' think Clover stashes food as much.  Often what she does is this:
she runs to her room, grabs a kibble, comes to the room where I am, and
eats it.  So my lounge room, bean bag, couch and the blanket on the couch
are covered in crumbs.  So is my pillow.  *sigh*
