Given that it is already known that there are no feral populations of
ferrets in the U.S. including California (and of all places to put that
data together it was CA F&G which did), and that escaped American Mink
in Europe who were used for fur production out-compete polecats easily
and that American Mink are present in California, it seems pretty lame
to vote against an amnesty for the existing pet ferrets while a study
is done. Plus the fees would have gone to do a study if I recall the
details right.

So, take Arnold at his word. He is big on talking about not fearing the
people he terms "girlie men", so what should you do to show that you take
him at his word? Do you know of any CA politician who voted against
ferrets? Do you know of any politician Arnold is supporting? Do you
know of any proposal Arnold wants you to vote for or vote against? Is
there a movie he was in which you had planned to buy? Play tough in your
voting, purchasing, and contribution choices, and continue to do so each
year, year after year. Apparently what he respects is fear if a person
is to take his "girlie man" diatribes seriously. Let him fear; make him
fear. ,ake him fear losing his political power-base, make him fear
losing sales, make him fear losing his own next election. Then see his
attitude change. He was elected by such a narrow margin that some ferret
people votes alone could have elected him; let him lose all of them in
the future and help other ferret people register to vote.

Everyone who knows me knows that this is not what i usually advise, but
I am willing to take the man at his word. Are you?
