Hi Fellow FMLers,

On 00/07/29 I posted the blood screen results for my little fert sprite
Ming Jou, who will be 4 yrs in October. Unfortunately, s/t happened during
the transfer and the results were hard to read. (Sorry for the confusion
BIG). Also, I wish to thank Bruce Gaylord for responding w/suggestions.

Anyway, I have some more info and any comments or suggestions/advice would
be greatly appreciated. To recap Ming Jou's results:

Mean Corp Hemoglobin was a high 17.0
Blood Urea Nitrogen was a high 15.8
Total Protein was a high 92
Albumin was a high 53
Albumin/Globulin Ration was a high 1.4
Sgpt [alt] was a high 310
Chloride was a high 119
Carbon Dioxide was a low 17
Gamma gt was a high 48

Since this test, Ming Jou has developped an orange colored area on her
neck. It has an odour and she itches at it a couple times a week. The
hair on the bottom of her tail near her rump is thining. Her vulva is
normal. She also has some orange in her grooves. She is considered a
sable, though since about age 1 1/2 she is lighter and her rump and 2/3 of
her tail are white/cream colored. The rest of her body is always turning
lighter or darker! Since this spot appeared, she has been sleeping the
tiniest bit longer than usual, otherwise everything else is status quo.

She has always been very active (she shops till she drops!),in fact, we
have always had quite a time getting her to stop and eat a drink. She
weighs 0.8 kg and this does not fluctuate. Ming Jou goes for a walk w/me
every day, enjoys car rides and going to our acreage where she digs in the
garden, walks the trails and goes for a canoe ride. She is fed a mix of TF
w/ferret store brand fert food, gets dried salmon and herring treats for
good litterbox habits and the occasional small piece of fruit or berries.
She is a social butterfly but HATES other animals. So, she is a spoiled
rotten only fert <g>!

My vet is on holidays for the month but would like to repeat the blood
screen, check bile acids and possibly do a protein electrophoresis.

Thanks in advance to all, dooks and warm fuzzy thoughts to all sick and
bridge ferts,

Lynn and Ming Jou.
