Hi everyone! Remember me? I have a ferret with adrenal problems that I
didn't know how I could afford the surgery. I posted last fall. I got
lots of responses, good ideas, and great people out there! Well Franky
had his surgery a few days ago. It was the RIGHT adrenal gland that was
affected! :-0 So I hope things turn out all right for Franky. He seems to
be convalescing ok. What I have encountered is the lack of support I get
from people around me that wouldn't pay that kind of money, when you don't
really have the money, for a ........pet? And then I have to drive a long
distance for proper serious care. In Iowa nobody, that I know, really does
it cause no body brings their ferret in for help? So ....no opportunity?
You can go to the vet school but they are really expensive. I had to do
much calling to find a vet for the surgery. One even backed out at the
last minute. And that is ok....I wouldn't want someone who didn't think
they could do it. All in all I just hope Franky gets better. There is a
definite need for moral support with these fuzzies when times get tough.
That is why I belong to this list. :-) Hug your fuzzies for me.
