Hi everyone!

This weekend we found a new game to play with our 5 girls - we call it
"Kennywood". If any of you out there are from my area (Pittsburgh, PA) you
no doubt heard of Kennywood Park. For those of you not familiar with this
park, its our local amusement park. We live about 5 miles away from
Kennywood, so its really part of our everyday scenery. They have a ride
there called the "Whip". Its shaped like a running track and you're
sitting in this cart that rides along a track on the straight end and once
you reach the curve, it "whips" you around the bend very fast. Well we've
adapted this ride at home.

Our girls have several pieces of dryer hose spread around the apartment.
The usual game was to run through the dryer hose, or maybe try to drag
their toys through. One Saturday, we were going to be leaving for a long
day, so in the process of closing off our bedroom, I picked up a shorter
piece of dryer hose we keep in the bedroom (its about 5 feet stretched) to
take into the livin room to keep them company. In the process of dragging
this into the living room, one of our ferrets ran inside the piece that was
dragging along the floor behind me, about 5 feet. So I gave the hose a
quick tug *past* me approximately 5 feet (so the hose fully stretched in
front of me from being fully stretched behind me) and Snowball flew out of
the hose in front of me like she was shot out of a canon. Well she went
dooking around, making all kind of noise and charged at the dyer hose. I
thought she was going to hunt and kill the hose, but instead she ran inside
the hose a few inches and waited for me to do it again. Well after a few
times of this, the others caught on and before I knew it, they were
fighting over who was going to get in the hose. About ten minutes later, I
had 5 VERY exhausted ferrets who wanted to find a nice corner to sleep in.
So every day since then, we play "Kennywood" at least once. Even our
prissy one, Salt, the one who is to dainty to play most of the time, the
one who eats as if she is eating finger sandwiches in the Tea Room of the
White House with the President - she was flinging around dooking and
chuckling like I've never seen her before. They had us belly-laughing so
hard! If you have a dryer hose, give it a try. Its worth it!
