Ok, since we all pretty much know ferrets like raisins (and have
thoroughly debated the level of their unhealthiness) I was wondering
what surprising things fuzz owners have discovered that their little
ones have a taste for.

This is certainly not to start debating the health aspects of other
"treat" items. I'm just thinking of the things that you don't give
your ferret, but have caught them with. Things they are just aching
to get their little ferret teeth into. Sometimes it's surprising.

The other day I was food out of the cabinet and suddenly remembered
Jillie's fondness for ramen noodles. Not just her fondness, but her
absolute aching need for them. Not cooked, not even out of the package!

I used to let them occasionally check out the lower food cabinet, and
they'd always get their noses in there while I was organizing (ah, the
things dinner guests don't know!). It wasn't often they got this access,
so I would forget to remove the desired ramen noodles. I would forget
until I heard that crinkling of the plastic around them. My sweet little
Jillie in a frenzy to tear into this hard package of noodles and get a
quick nibble before they were cruelly pulled away. Such bliss that I
would sometimes break off the tiniest of pieces and watch her in her
ecstacy chomping away at it.

Ah, the sweet taste of forbidden fruit, um....carbohydrates. (-:
