Saraferret,

Jess' little silver girl, Sugarfoot lost her battle with Lymphoma today
and we had to help her over the bridge. Sugar came to us a rescue in
March'09. She was 5, and had already had adrenal surgery. She chose
Jess at the shelter with lots of snuggles and kisses, and Jess knew
immediately Sugarfoot was the one. Almost totally blind and deaf, these
did not stop her from running through the house as she became stealer
of insoles, giver of kisses and superior snuggler. As she aged, she
added a new bout of adrenal disease, insulonemia, and finally Lymphoma.
It was only recently that she took a turn for the worst, though right
up to the end, her spirit and love of life shown through. She will be
sorely missed as she was such a joy and sweetheart. Her Mommy, Jess
rounded up her little pink hippo that she had ever since coming here
to her forever home, and it will go with her along with a big chunk
of Jess' heart and on of the insoles from Jess boot that she dragged
everywhere with her. She takes a bit of G-Mas' heart too and a great
deal of love. She gave her Mommy a kiss before she left us.

Franklin was the only other ferret she didn't beat up, could he please
find her and greet her too? I think she only beat up the other ferrets
because she couldn't see or hear them and it scared her, but for some
reason, Franklin did not bother her too much and they accepted each
other. I know over the bridge she'll be able to see again and hear
again, both those were lost due to a bad start in life, so it will be
quite the transition for her. I hope they got a new order of red wings
with golden sparkles, as that would probably be what she'd want. She
loved her red blankies. She also brings a message of love to the whole
gang from Mommy.

So short in our lives, but forever in our hearts:
Sugarfoot, El Bandito, Noel, Bubbles and Franklin
Take good care of each other,
Mommy Cindy, Jess, Brent & Russ
