Hi sounds to me, like what a friends ferret was doing, and she
discovered it was an allergy to the disinfectant she was using to wipe
out the cages and floor etc that the ferrets where able to come in
contact with. She tried a cuople of earth friendly alternatives and it
went away, I feel a disenfectant that is low allergenic for human use,
might be worth trying.
