Hey, Steve says he recalls "Carpet Shark" predating the FML.  He recalls
it from rec.pets (maybe about 1982?) and he thinks it was Buckaroo Bianca
who first said that.  We seem to recall that she was in the NW someplace.
She was motorcycle and kayak with them (and one jumped in once and had to
be fished out).
 
I think "Speedbump" began on the FML.
 
One that isn't seen often is "snerch" (sneak-search combination) which
refers to the way that they do sneaky things but don't mean anything bad
by it -- that it's all in fun.  That's a very old one on the FML, too.
