Depending on how rapidly a deteriorating senior in assisted living
goes downhill there might arise a rapid need to find a place in AZ,
preferably in the greater Phoenix region (Tempe, Mesa, etc.), which
takes elderly cats with health problems including Feline Leukemia. One
family member in that area can not take the cat because her own are
healthy and doing so would endanger them. The other two have children
who go into allergy problems like acute asthma attacks if around cats.

The other option, given that the senior's cat is 14, has health
problems from the senior over feeding (and is now under vet treatment),
is extremely shy, and has Feline Leukemia, is euthanasia when the
senior can no longer remain out a nursing facility despite providing
of loads of extra help with family and hired supported services of all
kinds, as is now being done.

Years ago there were ferret sanctuaries for ADV positive ferrets. Are
there similar places for cats w Feline Leukemia and are any in that
area?
