Good heavens! I actually mostly agree with Ed! I've honestly been
skipping his posts because they are so long and so weird, but this one
caught my eye.

I always make the effort to get a second hand under their butt end when I
pick them up. Why? Just like a baby, a dog, a cat, you always want to
support the entire animals' body weight. I've always felt it was unhealthy
and potentially dangerous to pick up a ferret and sling it around with one
hand, as I've seen many, many people do at ferret shows. It always annoys
me too. Plus, what happens if he squirms and you lose your grip? You
either crush them tighter or drop them. Picking them up by both ends fully
and safely supports the ferret.

Something for all of us to think about.

grabs here!) & Bandit
