Hi everyone,

I've been following the comments regarding ferret foods and diets (Totally
Ferret, Marshalls, etc.), but I don't think that anyone has made any
reference to the Ferret World Web page entitled "What to feed ferrets"
(http://www.csc.peachnet.edu/~rpoore/ferrets/food.html). It states that,
"If Totally Ferret is not available to you, a decent diet that is not
expensive is: one-third Purina Cat Chow (original formula), one-third Purina
Kitten Chow (original formula), and one-third Whiskas." For those of us that
are on a budget, but still want to give our ferrets a nutritious,
well-balanced meal, is this diet sufficient? If so, is it only sufficient
at certain life stages? In other words, should it be modified as they get
older and their metabolism slows? Many thanks to all responses.
