All right, I will jump in with both feet and say that our local Petco
stores (in St. Louis) take reasonably good care of their ferrets and have
been very happy to work with us to do adoption days. Recently, the manager
of one store called us and asked when we could come in and whether we could
come to his store once a month. This was PETCO's initiative, not ours.

Of the pet stores in the area that sell ferrets, Petco is actually one of
the best for living conditions.

Who was it who said that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar?
This certainly applies to dealing with pet stores as well as anything else.

Yes, I will take any help I can get for the shelter. I would rather spend
my time trying to find homes for the ferrets than arguing about evil pet
stores and/or corporations. PassPets is MUCH worse around here, and I
haven't heard anybody complaining about how evil they are.

Sandi is entitled to her viewpoint, but I felt the need to put my 2
cents in.
