Wow, the last issue was just short enough not to get split into two by my
Eudora/popmail server (first time I can remember, usually it gets cut into
3 pieces!). So, now I am posting my second message in one day to make sure
it doesn't happen again.

I discovered recently, thanks to Lunacy (our new dog), that the ferrets are
active at night (I always suspected it). Luna sleeps in her crate next to
the ferrets in their cage. Because she is still housetraining I have a
second baby monitor on her (first for Ian naturally, thank God they all
have two channels now) to listen for her "I need to pee" whine. Well, in
the middle of the night I hear all this noise and as I try to figure out
what Luna is up to, I realize the ferrets are all up, scratching themselves
(thump, thump, thump goes the wood floors of their cage), pushing their
bowls around, etc. I believe the ferrets really eased Luna's transition to
sleeping outside our room. She loves to watch them and touch noses when
the ferrets are willing to wake up.
