I just recently built Ferris a new cage. I have been in the market to get
Ferris, a male sable, a new playmate when I decided I will need a new cage.
I went to a popular pet store "PetCo" and noticed a "Ferret" cage for 89.00
dollars. It sure was nice! It was a two level cage with room for two!
Perfect, but too much to spend. Just like the man I am, I went to my local
Feed store and found 19 ft. of wire fencing stuff for cages, wire
clips(1.50), special tool to crimp the clips(6.00)***VERY IMPORTANT TOOL***
and some patients and turned out my own cage just like the one at the pet
store for less than the 89.00 they wanted at the pet store. It stands about
3ft high and 24 inches wide. By-the-way: I used the old tray of the origanal
cage. So before you buy yourself a new cage at a pet store....Build one just
like it for half the price and twice the pride!
You know, Ferris still dosn't have a playmate. Anyone know of a breeder in
the Eastern Washington area. Let me know. I may travel!
