Occasionally, ferrets will do one or the other without doing both, but if a
ferret poops 2 or 3 time consecutively without urinating, he could have a
urinary blockage.
 
In the reverse, if a ferret urinates several times in a row without pooping,
he could possibly have an intestinal blockage.
 
In both cases, the ferret in question needs to be carefully watched.  Acting
ok doesn't necessarily mean anything.  Some ferrets are very stoic and don't
let you know they hurt until it's almost too late.
 
A vet check ASAP can't hurt.
