Hello All:

I am a volunteer at Gimmee Shelter Ferret Rescue in Wareham. We are, as
usual, in need of help. We were wondering if anyone would be interested
in donating their time to prepare the annual taxes for the shelter. We
usually pay a large fee to have an accountant prepare them as we do not
know how to do 501c taxes. If someone volunteered or could do it for a
small fee, we would really appreciate it (and the money could be spent
on the fuzzies and their care).

We also wondered if anyone with a truck or large SUV in the Framingham,
MA area would be able to pick up 2 large ferrets cages which have been
donated to the shelter. The cages could be brought directly to the
shelter or to my house in the Plymouth area if that's easier.

If anyone is looking to adopt, we have a group of five fuzzies (approx
3 yrs old) who were living in/ rescued from a 10 gallon aquarium. They
were about to be turned loose outside, but thankfully we were able to
have another volunteer do an emergency pick up. They all seem healthy
and will be going to the vet for checkups. We would be willing to split
them into smaller groups for adoptions. We also have 2 younger single
ferrets. The male is grogeous sable, approximately a year old, and is
fat, healthy and happy. We have a female (maybe 2 yrs old), also sable,
who is shy and is an occasional fear-biter. She was a stray, was
adopted, and then returned. She needs a forever home with someone who
is willing to work with her on the biting issue. She gets along with
other ferrets, but is afraid of loud noises, etc. We think she's had a
tough life.

If anyone can help out with the taxes, cage transport, or if you want to
adopt, please call Janice (the shelter Mom) directly at 508-295-3716.

Many Thanks from Us and the Fuzzies,
Leanne O'Neil, shelter volunteer
