(Lurker Mode Off)
Hi all, I'm mostly a lurker, but for a while I've wanted to become a more
active participant in the FML community, so I figured this was a good
place to start.

For those of you who live in Connecticut, in today's Journal Inquirer there
is a picture of a man holding a ferret on the front page. The article it
goes along with talks about the new animal curator at a local children's
museum, the ferret is one of the animals in the museum. The fuzzy isn't
mentioned anywhere in the article, but the picture is a good one, the
caption says "...gets a kiss from a ferret while talking to a group of
children...."

I am an animal volunteer at the museum and can tell you from experience
that the ferret pictured, Lily, is a real sweet heart and so is her buddy
Daisy, who is being treated for an adrenal tumor. I have not met the new
curator yet, but from the picture he seems ferret-friendly, hopefully he
can help me in my crusade to better the living arrangements of the
fuzzballs (took me months just to get them to change the ferrets' bedding
from wood shavings to newspapers), and the other creatures housed there.

OK, that's all for now....
