Hi all,
If any one remembers in Issue 707, I asked for suggestions to help fatten
up one of my males who had lost his appitite. I only recieved one suggestion.
But I've had on hand the recipe for "Duck soup" and thought I would give it a
try.
Well, I hunted all over town at all the super markets and couldn't find
"Sustacal", But I found another product also by Mead Johnson called
"Nutramigen". So out of the need to improvise, I tried to combine a tasteful
and nutritious version to fatten up my little guy, or at the very least halt
the weight loss. Recipe is as follows:

2 Scoops(scoop provided) of Nutramigen...Hypoallergenic powdered baby
formula, (Lactose, sucrose free)
2 scoops KMR kitten weaning formula.
1 cup regularly fed dry food,( I use Diamond Proffesional..34%protein,
   21% Fat)
1 small jar of Chicken (no other ingredient) flavored baby food.
2 cups( almost boiling) Spring water.
1 tsp of Linatone or Ferretone.
1 tsp of KARO/light syrup..( Not sure if this is really good for them, but he
seemed to like it better with it in.)

I put all the ingredients into the blender till it was smooth, I feed him a
portion of it and I take the remainder of the stuff and poor it into an ice
cube tray and cover it with clear wrap and freeze it for easier thawing and
serving size.
This mixture seems to be working, it has altered his stool in any great way.
And the best part is he isn't losing weight, and has begun to eat his regular
diet on a steady basis, along with the mixture.

If any one has any other good ingredients to add or any ideas on what to 'Put
in or Take out' let me know, I am open to suggestions.
