You are correct...it seemed like a dream come true in the beginning...but
then the war with the round little ball bearings began.  Soon, they were
everywhere (on a hard floor they really are like ball bearings and to
tender toosies its a definite OUCH!).  We switched back to the compressed
paper pellets like yesterdays news/mews and are much happier.  A month
later we are still finding the darn pearls here and there!  Maybe they will
reshape and enlargen them in the future.
 
If any of you fuzzy freaks live out west and have WINCO stores in your area
(Formally Waremart), they sell yesterdays mews for around 6 bucks a bag (I
see it in PETCO for 14 bucks or thereabout.  AND Winco often has it on sale
for around 3 clams!!!  Good deal if you have a epidemic of ferret math.
