Greetings all,
I have a question about allergies. For those of you who have allergies how
do you handle it?
Background. I have 7 ferrets, 1 dog, 4 cats and 1 spider. And back in
December I started getting really bad headaches. I have been to one
specialist after another. No one knew what was going on until I got
tested for allergies. It seems the fluid build up in my sinus is due to
allergies. So I have gone through of removing carpet from the bedroom, to
allergen covers on the bed and pillows to treating all of the animals with
Allerpet to control their dander. I am allergic to dust/dust mites and
animals. And I am still on three types of medication.
The problem I am having is it seems that the ferret room gives me the most
problem. I have no carpet in there, just rugs that have always been washed
weekly, I treat them with the allerpet and I keep everything aired out and
clean but I get my headaches back even with the meds everytime I go into
the room for more than just a few minutes. Do I have too many? Does that
even make a difference? I am at a lost at what I should do from here.
These are my babies, do I need to find homes for them? And advice would
be helpful.
Thanks
Mel
