Someone recently asked about taking or having ferrets in Costa Rica, and
my response included that dogs brought in become CR citizens. This is
correct, they have all citizenship rights except voting. The person who
says ferrets don't become citizens is thinking of someone there for a
vacation. Indeed, ferrets may not be accorded the same citizenship (yes
it is a wacky concept, but that's how things are in CR) status as dogs.
But for anyone who thinks they might like living in CR or Belise, (and by
the way, they speak English in Belise) the net will provide current
information, because the regulations change on a regular basis.
Have we no ferret owners from Costa Rica or other Central American
countries on the list?
Georgia - the left coast one...
