Judith...
very good post...very insightful...i hope it makes people stop and think...
humans really tend NOT to take responsibility for themselves...tend to
blame whatever is handy...not realizing that their actions brought on the
problem...and this holds true with dealings with other humans as well as
other animals...
i do not think that is the only reason for kits biting...nor do i think you
do...so i am not arguing with you...:) ...but lots of times, especially in
pet stores, i have noticed that the kits bite because they are hungry...
there may be food there for them, but not what they are used to...or they
still need it moistened... also...at a pet store...you are waking a kit up
to hold it...of course...:)...they sleep alot...but what some may not
realize is...they will be hungry when they first wake up...
i know you, Judith, being a breeder, do not let your babies go at that
young of an age...but pet stores do get them younger than they should...
and that is usually the first contact people have with ferrets...
well...did not mean to write a book...sorry!!!!
