Edward Lipinski, Der Frettchen Meister of Mercer Island, who operates the
Ferret Endowment for Rehabilitation, Research, Education & Training
Society, NorthWest, aka F.E.R.R.E.T.S.,N.W., aka FNW and established
1981. FNW is a shelter, a ferret birth control center, a ferret boarding
facility, a geriatric ferret refuge, a ferret experimental husbandry
research facility and a source of unusual and usual ferret-related
information and is dedicated to the ferreting out of scientific information
relating to ferret health, longevity and the permanent elimination of
Epizootic Catarrhal Enteritis. Lipinski is a published coauthor (Canine
Practice Vol 19, No. 1) of a scientific paper titled A Technique for
Vasectomizing Male Ferrets, dated Jan 1994, which paper is available free
of charge to the public.
FNW appeals for financial grants and the contribution of surplus
scientific, chemical equippage to enable furthering the current study of
cephalic skeletal mandibular/maxillary morphology and the cataloging of
Siphonaptera (flea) ferret parasites.
Lipinski has adopted in excess of 1700 ferrets into qualified homes
since1982 written records have been kept, and is very grateful to the
Washinton Ferret Association for assuming this beneficial obligation of
ferret adoptions, pet store monitoring, and public education.
