Re Chris's post - her vet's comment that if you feed hairball treatment
ever day, not only does it become infective it causes food to pass through
the ferret improperly digested.

Vets: Please let the list know if this is true. I feed my four ferrets a
half-inch strip of cat hairball remedy every day as a
preventative/treatment for hairballs. Of my four ferrets, only one has
been with me since he was a kit. The other three were two years old when I
adopted them, and I have no idea if they were ever treated for hairballs,
and they could already have hairballs. Am I doing more harm than good by
giving them daily doses of hairball treatment?
