Hello FML'ers,
I wanted to let you all know that our new website,
http://www.kistaferret.com is now up and running.
Right now, our ferret head count is at 38. On Sunday, we'll be taking two
more, bringing us to our maximum number of ferrets that we can care for.
I know that other shelters in New Jersey are also at capacity (North West
Jersey Ferret Haven, Fuzztek's, and of course Ferret Hollow aka KiSta
Ferret North), so if you're in the NJ/DE/NY area and are looking to adopt a
ferret, please, PLEASE, contact your local ferret shelter. I know we have
so many healthy, young, sweet adoptable ferrets, and i'm sure that's the
case at the other shelters. This summer has been crazy with surrenders,
strays, and turn ins from cat/dog shelters for us. The latest were this
weekend; 2 gorgeous huge male ferrets, right around a year old, left in
their cage, left at the end of a dead end road, without food or water in
the 90 degree heat. Thankfully, a good samaritan found them and cared for
them until they could be transported here. They're doing great now, and
are so sweet. They'll be ready after the 15th of this month.
The site should be 100% operational now....if you find any dead links or
photos, please, let me know. The online adoption application is also
operational.
Thank you,
Kim Rushing
