Donna, could you, PLEASE, post details about the oxygen on the FML:
how it's given, what is involved, etc.  We've had ferrets before with
cardiomyopathy and (as with a number of other illnesses) we try to keep
our eyes peeled for new and possibly useful approaches (always depends on
the individual since there are so many variations in any medical problem
or among individuals -- so we present options we wonder about to our vet
and let vet decide).  Thanks.  Really appreciate it.  (BTW, in case you
approach these things like we do the things which helped our guys were:
Lasix, Enacard, Digoxin (special considerations on when to begin this and
dosing has to be careful -- but when needed was an incredible help, a truly
wonderful drug), and Co-enzyme 10-Q which was given with some sources of
vitamin E and vitamin C (since we were informed that it is supposed to be
given with them).  For a while one who was throwing clots had to have
aspirin, too -- very little and days apart on doses -- but she became to
sensitive to it.  Can't recall any other meds off the top of my head.  Had
some long survival times (till they got bad enough for mercy shots) with
really marvelous quality time in there.  One thing about cardiomyopathy is
that when treated the quality of life improves markedly whereas without
treatment it's a miserable way to go.)  Anyway, please, do teach us about
this approach -- details, please!
