Hello everyone and dooks to the ferts out there. I have read in several
ferret books and magazines that a ferret should "NEVER" be declawed because
the claws are not retractable like a cat. The nail is actually part of the
toe and to do would be liken to mutilation. I am no vet and be no means an
expert, have just read several books and they all agree that declawing is
painful and not necessary. If you have ferrets and they dig then figure
out some way to distract them or take up the carpet or put them in a room
without carpet. My carpet is coming up this spring just because of such
reasons. Also, with a dog the odors get trapped and the house never really
smells clean. Having hardwood floors with area rugs will make cleaning
easier and the house smell cleaner. Just my opinion on the subject.

We never lose the ones we love,
For even though they're gone,
Within the hearts of those who care,
Their memory lingers on.
